Chakra Juice Reboot Day 2: Sacral Chakra

First off, have you entered Averie's latest nut butter giveaway ? Another go at a Sacral Chakra feast today focused on all things sweet. I started with my usual glass of lemon water and then it was time to start my cycle of powders and tinctures that I now have to take for 13 more days. After yesterday's nauseating experience , this one went much better. Instead of 2 heaping teaspoons of Rejuve Powder, I only took one and while it was still vile and did give me a little bit of the shakes, it went much more smoothly. Breakfast wasn't quite a juice but was more focused on balancing my chakra using sweetness, aka. a cherry banana whip (with spirulina of course!). A post-workout lunch (thanks again to Gina for an awesome start into her 2010 4-week Summer Shape-up ) were two Vitamix-ed oranges with a 1/2 C of kombucha. Before I get into anything else, check out Katie's most recent giveaway for some awesome stuff from CSN . Today was Week 2, Day 2 of my Chakra cleansing ritual. After last week's successful one-on-one time with my Root Chakra , next stop was Sacral Chakra re-alignment, otherwise known as Swadhisthana . Located in the sacrum, your Sacral Chakra corresponds to the proper functioning of your sexual organs, and thus your hormones and reproductive cycles. A healthy S wadhisthana opens us up to the development of our creativity, our passion, our joy, and enthusiasm. Given its location, our Sacral Chakra pumps all our energy from our base of our spine to our brains, keeping it young, vibrant, and nourished. Given that function, it's directly related to our sexual energy and virility. That makes total sense: an open sacral chakra simply means you are able to feel, whether emotionally or physically.
